A great character look for a custom figure
Alternate outfits are great. But, when you like both outfit looks, if you want to display both looks, you need a second base body. Then the question becomes ... do I make them "twins" by using the same base body or do I find a different base body to make a distinct character instead? I already had Kevin Flynn in his End of Line outfit. But, instead of making a twin, I preferred the idea of using his other outfit for a distinct character for a Tron Binary theme. I was very pleased with the quality of World Box's Subzero figure and how well it blended in with Hot Toys figures. So, when I came across this figure, I knew he would work perfect. The two of them look great together and his portrait is even higher quality than the HT Flynn's. If I could give him half stars, I'd give him 4-1/2 stars. The thing for me that prevented a full 5-star score was the lack of alternate hands. The gun-holding hands aren't really a problem for my purposes, but it would have been nice to have plain relaxed hands or a regular gripping hand (for something like a staff). The only other flaw was in the packaging. The plastic used for the packaging was fairly stiff and fragile. And, despite Ekia doing a thorough job of protecting the packaging in the shipping box, there were parts of the plastic that splintered. Not a big deal for me. But, I mention it for those that are either MOC collectors or wanting to retain the packaging for future use.
